Credits
One credit = one song grade: three blind listens, nine traits, the full result, the three-listen read and the report. Credits never expire. Lyrics grades and Known Song estimates don’t use credits. Karaoke takes have their own packs, below.
Take packs
One take = one graded karaoke recording: three listens, seven vocal traits and your score next to the original. Packs never expire, on any plan. Singing a lot? The Singer plan works out cheaper per take.
By purchasing you agree to the Terms of Service and Refund Policy. Payments are handled securely by Stripe; we never see your card number. Packs are paid up front and never expire; nothing is ever added to a bill. Unused plan grades and takes do not roll over.
Every grade comes with the full three-listen read. Open any grade in My Results and unlock all three gradings’ tips for that song — song traits and lyric traits — with the read on where they agree, plus the printable HitzScore Report. Free trial, credits or plan: it’s part of the grade, never a separate charge.

What you are not paying for
A better score. Every plan gets the same grader, the same three blind listens and the same yardstick. Paying more buys more grades and a deeper read of each one — never a kinder number. We’d rather you leave than be flattered.
Questions
One upload of one recording. The grader listens three times without knowing the song and reads the lyrics three times, scores every trait each time, and you get the middle result with all the detail. A lyrics grade or a Known Song estimate is not a song grade and doesn’t use a credit.
A recording you send to the coach that comes back with a score. Recording, listening back and recording again before you press Grade my performance is free and never leaves your device — only the take you choose to grade counts. If the coach can’t hear any singing, nothing is used. Every take is heard three times and you get the middle score, next to how the same coach rates the original.
Lyric scores run lower than song scores for everyone — a 60 is solid and 70+ is rare even among hits. We had the same lyric grader read 300 Billboard top-10 hits from our library (1950s to today) from its knowledge of each song’s words: the typical hit lands in the mid-60s, and only a handful ever reach 80. Your results pages show where your lyrics score sits among those hits.
Every song grade is three blind listens and three reads of the lyrics; you see the middle one. The unlock opens the other two gradings’ tips on every trait for that one song, plus a one-line read on where the three agree and where they differ. It never changes the score, and it costs nothing extra — every grade, free trial included, comes with it. Unlock opens it when you want to go deeper.

No. Plan grades and karaoke takes are for the month you pay for; any left on renewal day don’t carry over. If you grade or sing in bursts rather than every month, a pack is the better deal — pack credits and pack takes never expire.
You buy a pack: credit packs for song grades, take packs for karaoke, both from $5 and paid up front. We never add anything to your bill — your plan renews at the same price every time. Packs never expire, so what you don’t use this month is there next month.
Yes, and that’s the best use of a grade. Each version is a separate grade and stays in My Results so you can compare them.
No. Your uploaded audio is not stored on our site or in our database. We keep the scores and the grader’s notes so you can come back to them.
Once subscriptions open: any time, from your account page. You keep access until the end of the month (or year) you’ve paid for, and your results stay in My Results and My Karaoke.
